At my core, I am a diagnostician and problem solver. Timely diagnosis is paramount. Remaining thorough and open-minded improves accuracy and leads us to answers sooner. More importantly, this thorough and open-minded approach is applied to managing medical problems, improving the probability of successful treatment.

I believe it is critical to remain up-to-date with the latest evidence-based medical practices which happen to include non-pharmacologic and non-surgical options that are too often overlooked. My first thought is, “should I treat WITHOUT medication or surgery?”. This ensures greater success when medical or surgical treatment options are ultimately needed and helps avoid unnecessary side effects or complications. Not only that, I also find this perspective empowers patients to gain control of their own health.

I approach medical management with a holistic view. Most problems are multifaceted and connected in ways you may not realize (think of chronic fatigue, weight gain, insomnia, migraines, anxiety, addiction or cardiovascular disease). Each individual will have their own unique set of factors that contribute to the development and presentation of their medical problem. Sometimes we may not understand the amount a particular component contributes to our problem until that factor is properly addressed. This requires an approach that is personalized and thorough, taking each and every facet into account. Some factors I consider are nutrition, mental health, sleep, physical ability, as well as medications and prior medical issues that could be hindering progress.

As your ally in the pursuit for better health, I am here to guide you through each of these areas and create a plan that truly works.
